Desktop Support Analyst
Description We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role is in the IT software industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Desktop Support Analyst, your main responsibilities will be to provide support for desktop systems, including MAC OS and other computer hardware, as well as ensuring effective communication with users about their technical issues.Responsibilities: Provide support for desktop systems including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting Handle MAC OS support tasks, ensuring the system's efficient operation Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical issues and provide appropriate solutions Analyze and resolve software and hardware problems by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues Maintain a high level of professionalism and patience in all interactions Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in the IT software industry Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes Provide training to users to boost their skills and understanding of various software and hardware systems Work closely with other team members and stakeholders to meet the company's objectives and goals Ensure all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations. End of Responsibilities section.Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field A minimum of 2 years experience in Desktop Support or a similar role in the IT industry Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and particularly Mac OS Strong knowledge of computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues Familiarity with networking principles and protocols Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Experience with IT ticketing systems would be advantageous Certifications in IT support, such as CompTIA A+, would be a plus Must be a team player with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
