Chiropractic Office Assistant PT Position Available: $20-22/hr DOE Start + Performance Bonuses

We are a thriving chiropractic practice in the Columbia Gorge, located in Bingen, WA, just across the bridge from Hood River, OR. Our busy office is warm and friendly, and we are looking to fill 1 immediate PT position (approx. 22 hours/week) for front desk, back office and administrative duties. The staff person we are looking for is friendly, energetic, loves people, fun to work with, great computer skills and has a positive attitude with mature communication skills, both verbal & written.

The position involves both serving patients at our office and at events. As well as completing administrative and computer-related tasks/projects that help our office serve people with excellence and function efficiently.

Front Desk Duties will include:

Opening the office, organizing projects and debriefing the daily tasks

Answering phones, greeting patients and communicating with positive energy and enthusiasm.

Supporting the doctor, managing office efficiency, giving excellent customer care.

Serving patients with warmth and offering that extra personal touch.

Scheduling, rescheduling current patients via calls/emails/texts.

Giving simple financial presentations to patients and helping them with financial arrangements for starting their care; taking payments and collecting money.

Light billing and tracking of balances, posting payments & producing statements.

Generating new patient referrals into the office for care through your enthusiasm and conversations with established patients and walk-ins.

Office Tasks/Projects Include:

Patient phone calls to help keep patients on track for the care they need.

Tracking patient visits, office statistics & goal setting for the office.

Generating simple reports and statistics.

Routine calls to attorneys/insurance companies to check on case status, preparation of records.

Writing letters, preparing packets, filing and general office support.

Creating flyers and marketing materials.

Keeping the office beautiful, organized and clean.

Job Requirements/Essential Qualities: Prior experience in the chiropractic/healthcare fields is a plus. Must be confident with your skills on a desktop computer (PC), with multiple software applications and excellent typing & computer skills (working knowledge of Word, Excel & google docs). Able to compose/send emails, navigate posting on internet/social media and overall web-savviness is important. Personally, you carry yourself well, displaying warmth, polish, maturity and confidence. Must be able to do simple math in your head and be comfortable discussing finances with patients, collecting money, sales experience a plus. Prior billing experience is a bonus, but not required. Must be organized, work very effectively without much supervision. Must care for people, be able to connect with various types of people & able to direct them with kindness & professionalism. Positive, can-do attitude, service mindset and up-beat energy are essential. Solution-oriented with a creative problem-solving tendency, can implement and think a few steps ahead with an excellent ability to multi-task is very important in this role. Can receive feedback well and is a quick study when exposed to new concepts/procedures. Must be healthy, energetic and comfortable promoting a healthy lifestyle. Willingness to learn and be trained in chiropractic principles, front desk communication and office procedures.

Hours for this position are:

Tuesday: 7:30am—2:30pm Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm.

Note: Initial training for the position will be provided (approx. 3-4 extra hours/week) first 4-6 weeks. And participation in periodic outreach events to help serve our community (approx. 5-6 hours/week) on some weekends. In addition, there are continuing education seminars we do as a team to focus on personal and practice growth 1x/quarter on a Friday afternoon/evening.

You will be compensated well, receive performance-based bonuses (after first 3 months), plus you’ll attend 6 paid seminars per year for motivation, training and self-enrichment, and you will get the added benefit of complementary excellent chiropractic care.
