Throughout the summer, interns will meet with our executive leadership team, network with employees and fellow interns, and participate in community outreach. We are devoted to finding, selecting, and training interns who will make a positive impact on our company while offering a full learning experience. Our Interns will work alongside a lean, proven team of investment professionals, gaining technical and analytical skills.CIBC’s Summer Internship program runs for 10 weeks beginning in June 2025 through August. During this time, you will have access to training opportunities, mentorship, and leadership support.Our leaders are invested in your success during your internship. Our goal is to ensure you have all tools necessary to take advantage of the robust opportunities at hand, resulting in a great summer experience.You will support the Business Management office in US Technology, Infrastructure and Innovation (TI&I).Mandate will include but not be limited to;
Process Improvement – Assess current CIBC processes and making suggestion to reduce cost and decrease cycle time. Participate in process mapping, statistics evaluation, time studies, operations centre visits, and interviews.
Operational Resilience - Support program across all US TI&I; work with critical vendor owners to assess and strengthen dependency on third parties; monitor and maintain processes, procedures, and reporting to enable the execution of a sustainable and repeatable resilience function
TI&I Metrics & Reporting – Quarterly Board and Senior Management Metrics and Reporting for US TI&I. Includes both highlights and lowlights, US TI&I Management Scorecard, headcount management, and key RAS and KRI metrics.
Vendor Management - Assist the FIS Vendor Owner in all facets of Vendor Relationship Management for CIBC US (Meetings, Conflict Resolution, Escalation, Metrics, Communication, Procedural Documentation etc)
Communications – Administer access control (proactive/reactive) to key business systems used by US TI&I, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams groups, and others.

To be eligible for this position, you must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026

This role has an expected hourly rate of $25.00 per hour for the State of Illinois market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
