Family Law Paralegal

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced paralegal to join our team and support our growing family law practice.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with attorneys, clients, and court personnel to assist in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support issues, prenuptial agreements, and domestic violence matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and orders
- Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery requests
- File documents with the court and manage case files
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide case updates
- Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and witness lists
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings
- Organize and maintain detailed records for all assigned cases
- Coordinate with court personnel, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of family law paralegal experience
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent education
- Strong knowledge of California family law procedures and court rules
- Proficiency with legal software and case management systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
