Erwin Electric, Inc. is an established locally owned electrical contracting company, with an excellent reputation in the community since 1997. We are a W/MBE and DBE certified electrical contracting corporation experienced in commercial, industrial, residential, and government work. Erwin Electric, Inc is currently seeking Commercial Lead Electricians to join our growing team in the Tampa Bay Area.
As the Lead Commercial Electrician, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of electricians to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standard, on time, and within budget. Total compensation for Commercial Lead Electrician is based on experience and/or licensing. Candidates with exceptional experience and a successful history of performance will receive top pay.
Responsibilities:
Safety and Professionalism: Ensure a safe workplace and maintain high professional standards.
Staff Management: Oversee and motivate electricians and other staff across various projects.
Quality Control: Monitor and improve work quality; communicate company policies to crews.
Electrical Work: Install, test, upgrade, and repair electrical systems and equipment per customer specifications and codes.
Record-Keeping and Improvement: Maintain tool inventory, submit work reports, and identify process improvements.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED plus vocational certification in electrical work, or 5 years journeyman-level experience.
Experience Requirements: 5 years in electrical trade (commercial focus) and 2 years in a lead/supervisory role.
Certification: Journeyman electrician license or equivalent preferred.
Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics; strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, criminal background check, and drug test. Professional appearance is essential.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to use hands to hold, feel, or reach electrical components.
Stand, climb, balance, stoop, crouch, or crawl for extended periods of time.
Adequate close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Ability to regularly lift and move 50 lbs.
Compensation:
$28-$36 an hour based on experience
