In this position, you will transport and escort C&Y, Plans of Safe Care Program, and Family Center clients independently or as a team support with other staff members. This includes transportation for court hearings, parent/child visits, out-of-home placements, foster homes, school, and medical, dental, or other related appointments to support our clients as directed by care plans, court orders, or other related stipulations. You will also assist clients in all areas of daily living and family life including household budgeting, filling out forms, in-home parenting education, proper hygiene, nutrition, cooking/food shopping skills, maintenance of the home, and skills pertaining to the care of infants affected by substance exposure during pregnancy, both at the Family Center and during client home visits. Additionally, this position performs random and routine drug testing as requested by casework staff. Testing can include urine, hair, saliva, or any other possible testing means.Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for developing working relationships with families, casework and other support staff, foster parents, and other service providers, as well as for maintaining required records and reports. You will also be expected to advise professional social service staff on client's needs and progress in meeting established goals and objectives, provide testimony to the court as needed, and perform other duties as required. Work includes training on child welfare topics to enhance your knowledge and skills. Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Hours may include non-traditional hours, evenings, and weekends.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Graduation from high school; or
Any equivalent combination of training and experience.Other Requirements:
This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Fayette County.
