Dish Osteria and Bar is hiring a Line Cook for Saute and Grill Stations
We are expanding our kitchen team to add a full time Line Cook. We are a small, busy, Italian restaurant with a focus on Sicilian and Mediterranean style dishes. We are located off of Carson St. on the South Side, and entering into our 25th year of business. Our chef is from the Italian Mediterranean island of Sicily and has strived to bring the flavors of his home to Pittsburgh. He is passionate about working with a wide variety of seafoods including octopus, squid, sardines, mussels, razor and other clams, shrimp, scallops and more. We also work with local farmers to procure lamb, duck and rabbit for our menu.We source as many local ingredients as possible with special attention given to the quality and freshness of all menu items. Our focus is on simplicity, freshness and consistency. Many of our customers have been returning for 24 years because of this.
Experience with both saute and grill stations is required, as well as a high level of care for ingredients and attention to detail for prepping, cooking and plating our dishes. We are a scratch kitchen and everything is cooked to order on a gas grill and 10 burner gas stove. Experience making pasta and bread is a plus. You must be agile and able to work in a small space in a fast paced environment. It is equally important to possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn. You must have your own transportation and be able to lift 50lbs.

Paid vacation after a year of service.
Dinner service only, Tuesday through Saturday.
Kitchen opens at 5pm and closes at 10:30pm.
Closed for all major holidays.
