Maintenance Mechanic

Darby Day Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools, while also assisting other members of the Maintenance Department with various machine and building repairs. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for maintenance and repair looking to contribute to a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

-Perform regular, preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and building facilities.

-Assist in repairing woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts according to diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications.

-Order necessary supplies and parts as required for maintenance tasks.

-Maintain accurate records of repair and maintenance activities.

-Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

-Participate in safety programs, Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, and other team meetings.

-Prepare and submit reports as needed.

-Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

-High school diploma or equivalent.

-Minimum of 1 year of experience in machine repair and maintenance.

-Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, as well as welding.

-Knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

-Familiarity with hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures.

-Must be at least 18 years of age.
