We are currently seeking a Service Manager forChef Chad Colby's acclaimed Antico Nuovo, is an Italian Restaurant that celebrates an antique way of cooking; preserving traditions in wood fire cookery, handmade pasta, with an Award Winning Wine List. Antico Nuovo seeks to contribute to the growth of its surrounding community and build one within its own walls.QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent at multitasking Sommelier and or wine sales experience preferred Significant wine & beer knowledge, esp Italian & French Knowledge of POS systems & OpenTable Professional and productive communication skills Strong leadership skills Passion for chef driven restaurant w/ an expansive wine list Experience working in a high volume restaurant Must be flexible to work nights, holidays & weekends according to the needs of the business. Food Handlers Manager Certificate (CA) or SerfSave certification (CA) Staff scheduling experience Positive attitude Must be able to lift 40lbs 2+ years of management and or sommelier experience Flexible PTO and Retirement Benefits DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that all guests receive warm and welcoming service, and that theAntico team is exceeding expectations at all times. Understand all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs. Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment Assist with employment and termination decisions consistent with HR guidelines for approval or review. Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner. Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance reviews are followed and completed on a timely basis. Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures. Cultivate professional and positive communication skills and leadership ability Oversee cash handling and accounts payable procedures to ensure compliance with company policies. Manage labor to cover the needs of business while meeting labor targets Closing and opening duties
