Sushi Note in Sherman Oaks is looking for an experiencedand driven General Manager who is passionate about service, hospitality and the development of a strong team. The right person will be experienced in leading a team by example and with understanding, honesty and fairness. At Sushi Note we hire restaurant people. Our commitment to the overall guest experience leads the way and we need our attention to detail to always be felt by guest and team alike. If you consider yourself a “hands on” leader that holds character and respect in the highest regard then we would like to hear from you. This is a small team and our GMs work side by side with everyone on the team. The ideal candidate will have worked up through restaurants during their life, ideally including dish, busser and food runner in addition to server and manager experience. The General Manager is responsible and accountable for all restaurant activities, and assumes complete responsibility for the restaurant as necessary. The GM works to ensure that all activities are consistent with and supportive of the restaurant’s business plan. The GM ensures all team members are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job descriptions. We offer: Base salary $85,000 to $90,000 plus bonus potential Cell phone allowance Progressively increasing paid vacation plus five paid holidays 401(k) and Sick Days Team meal Growth and opportunity for professional advancement Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Manager in a elevated dining, chef driven, full-service restaurant Proven track record in developing and leading a successful team to excellence Advanced knowledge and understanding of business operations and financials Significant wine knowledge. Experience with Sake and Beer. Quick problem solver with a focus on positive outcomes A flexible schedule. Mornings, nights, weekends and holidays are required Fluent in Japanese and Spanish a plus but not required.
