Provides project support, commissioning, inspections and coordination of outages of electrical systems for both O&M and Project Management groups. Provides field coordination to contractors and subs and inspects contracted electrical work to assure repairs and installations are compliant.
Installs, repairs, maintains, and services emergency power distribution equipment including generators, transfer switches,
metal clad switchgear, circuit breakers, fuel systems and related low voltage, medium voltage equipment and distribution systems.
Installs temporary power system analyzer on
equipment and builds reports on operating conditions for customers and project management groups. Provides recommendations for any corrective actions when needed.Subject Matter Expert Serves as subject matter expert to high voltage electricians and provides guidance in the installation, operation, testing and troubleshooting of normal and emergency power electrical distribution systems. Leads outage investigations and determines the execution of the outage. Participates in the development of the "Owners Design Guidelines". Provides training and mentoring of test equipment.Other duties as assigned Uses electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical equipmentand support other departments in troubleshooting their equipment. Troubleshoots electrical distribution equipment and replace or repair defective components. Reads, interprets and field verifies electrical schematics, blueprints and floor plans.High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a recognized apprenticeship. Ten years experience in journeyman level electrical work involving interior and exterior wiring and the repair of electrical equipment.
