To address the growing demands within the Department of Defense, SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Chief Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Digital and AI Team as we embark on a large initiative to lead the design and operate integrated Enterprise IT solutions that deliver AI-enabled capabilities and enable data-driven decision making to missions across the Department, Services, and Combatant Commands.Role Summary: The Chief Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, application, and execution of the full spectrum of DoD and industry best practices for maintaining Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of IT systems and services, enabling our team to deliver secure and cutting-edge data, analytic, and AI technologies and accelerate the adoption of decision making across the DoD.Core Responsibilities:

Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Researches and develops highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts to evaluate and recommend security tools, techniques, and technologies. Supports cyber metrics development, maintenance, and reporting.

Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.

Acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs. Plans R&D programs and recommends technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives. Makes final decisions on cybersecurity and information assurance matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives.

Serves as consultant to top management in long-range company planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements.

QualificationsEssential Qualifications:

Possess a minimum of an active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Current Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Possess a minimum of five years of experience applying DoD Security Management and Security Engineering policy guidance and directives.

Possess a minimum of five years of experience with DoD RMF, vulnerability assessments, IA Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) reporting, and IA problem resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possess experience managing a cybersecurity team consisting of cybersecurity engineers, ISSOs and ISSMs.

Possess experience with developing, testing, and sustaining a secure solution in dynamic, rapidly evolving multi-cloud and multi-security enclave environments.

Possess experience managing a team responsible for developing and implementing enterprise security policies and practices.

Possess experience assessing and planning for compliance with DoD Zero Trust in accordance with the DoD Zero Trust Strategy and DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture.

Possess an active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

certification.
