Sr. Accountant

Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be an integral part of our finance team, focusing on revenue accounting. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities Ensure the correct revenue recognition methodology is utilized and adhered to Maintain and manage billing records accurately Perform bank reconciliations meticulously and efficiently Create and manage journal entries in a timely manner Handle invoicing duties and cash entries accurately Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessaryRequirements Proficient in Account Reconciliation Proficient in Bank Reconciliations Ability to manage and maintain Journal Entries Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience in Revenue Recognition Experience with grants Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in work Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices Proficient in using accounting software.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
