Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in our non-profit organization located in Portland, Oregon. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing our accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions, and delivering top-notch service to our customers.Responsibilities: Manage the team's Accounts Payable Inbox, handling approximately 100 items daily. Verify and post amounts accurately, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. Perform account coding in Abila MIP, ensuring all invoices are assigned to the correct accounts. Assist with expense management in Concur, helping to streamline expense reporting and reimbursement. Process accounts payable and assist in transitioning our system to a paperless environment, improving efficiency and sustainability. Use your skills in Accrual Accounting to accurately record transactions and maintain financial records. Conduct regular audits to ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date. Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, processing electronic transfers accurately and efficiently. Utilize ADP - Financial Services to manage payroll and other financial services. Maintain and update accounting software systems, ensuring all systems are current and functioning properly. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting Experience with Accounting Software Systems such as Concur and Abila MIP Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) processes Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Ability to perform Auditing tasks Must comply with all non-discriminatory policies and regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and in a team environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Good understanding of the non-profit sector Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
