15694BRTitle:Manager Safety and SecurityDepartment/Cost Center:827 - SecurityJob Description:Highland Hospital is seeking a Manager of Safety & Security to join and leads its team.Some duties include but are not limited to:Provides leadership and participates in development of staff, standards and procedures. Operationalizes the priorities and participates in problem solving for each of the reporting departments. The Manager will provide support in the day-to-day leadership of the Security, Safety, and Parking Departments, the Life Safety Coordinator/Fire marshal. Also leads and develops the Assistant Manager of the department and participates on Highland’s Emergency Management team. 24/7 management of security and parking operations, including promoting the mission of the department hospital wide. Demonstrates ICARE Values in all areas of responsibility. Will act as a mentor for the Security Department supervisory team and the Assistant Manager.Communication and Leadership
Ensure department operations run efficiently and effectively on all shifts. Includes but is not limited to, assigning daily assignments, acting as liaison with other departments. Responds to and resolves all issues.
Supervises the Security Sergeants, Officers, Parking Cashiers, Life Safety coordinator including hiring, firing, discipline, mentoring, evaluating, and employee engagement efforts.
Develops assistant Manager skills for covering all roles.
Provide training and education to staff to ensure procedures, processes and techniques are in place and being implemented. Implements process improvement initiatives for each subdepartment.
Responsible for hiring, disciplinary action, and termination of staff as written in HR policy and procedures. Works alongside HR Business partner.
Responsible for the annual appraisals and development of the staff.
Responsible for ensuring daily huddles are conducted and informative.
Ensures all hospital and regulatory deadlines are met.
Maintain excellence customer service /communication/ follow up with all users of the facilities.
Salary Range:$90,000 - $135,000 annuallyThe referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job.
