Our work depends on a Strategic Initiatives Director joining our team to build and be a strategic advisor for the CDC Account in the Federal Health sector.At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. In this role under the Federal Health sector, you will provide support to our HHS business area, primarily at CDC with support to other agencies as needed. As part of the CDC account team, you will be entrusted to work with the Account Lead for high-impact transformation delivery supporting our clients demand, driving growth for Business and IT Strategy offerings. As necessary, you will advise our customers at the highest strategic level on both big-picture and key tactical matters, focusing on how technology enables a wide range of business value and outcomes.Work visa sponsorhip will not be provided for this position.HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Conduct research, interviews and presentations for our program and executive level clients regarding next generation technology, regulatory, and industry trends

Assist with the comprehensive cost / benefits analysis and preparation of business cases for technology investments.

Assist in coordinating and communicating the results of engagements via written reports, white paper, and oral presentations to client management and key stakeholders

Contribute to the development of project management, quality assurance and professional consulting approaches/methodologies.

Participate in delivery of strategic IT consulting engagements, within a given timeframe and budget, for our customers, which include IT benchmarking and general IT consulting.

Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning technology areas being reviewed.

As necessary, participate in and provide leadership and guidance for current program delivery related activities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (required):

Bachelors degree and 10+ years of relevant experience

Experience within the Centers for Disease Control & Prveention (CDC) of Health & Humans Services (HHS)

Previous experience in IT Strategy within the Federal Health Industry

Experience with Stakeholder Management, Communications Development, Training, and Performance support

Experience working closely with customers and internal teams to provide insights and guidance on regulatory matters

Experience serving clients across a wide variety of functions including strategy, process improvement, analytics, information technology, regulatory oversight, communications, and project management.

Proven track record in business development and strengthening customer relationships

Experience leading and supporting early capture, proposal, business development, and organic growth opportunities

Experience researching and presenting new industry technologies and trends

Experience working with companies, such as Gartner, to obtain information and use cases that are relevant to the Health Care Industry and next generation technology such as the Cloud

Experience writing white papers on next generation technologies and solutions

WHAT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER (preferred):

Experience with High-tech or Service Providers and/or experience in hardware, applications, various tools and next generation technology for our existing ecosystem is a plus

Technology strategy development experience and expertise across the realms of artificial intelligence, Cloud, machine learning, artificial intelligence and other technologies is a plus

Experience in developing high-impact, board-level strategies for IT Models, Platforms and Ecosystems

Experience in understanding operational strategies and running P&L for accounts

Local to the Atlanta, GA area

The likely salary range for this position is $187,000 - $253,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire.
