Job Description:
The Dishwasher/Food Service Cafeteria Worker supports the food service area with responsibilities for dish washing, preparing, serving, and storing food items for students, faculty and staff. They will also maintain food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition, and performs routine cashiering tasks and operates the school’s computerized point of sale system. Timely and regular attendance is critical to schools effective and efficient operation and is an essential condition of employment in order to ensure adequate staffing, positive employee morale, and to meet productivity requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in food preparation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Food Handler Certification or equivalent is required. If the incumbent does not have this certification coming into the position, he/she will be required to obtain the certification, or equivalent, within 6 months from entering into the job.
- ServSafe Certification is preferred.
