Schedule and develop specific family therapy sessions individualized to cultivate the necessary knowledge, attitude, and skill to cope effectively with the patient’s diagnosis and support recovery. Work to identify strengths in both relatives and patients to facilitate recovery and resilience in recovery. Conduct careful assessments to identify triggers for the patient relapse and to collaborate with family members to provide the best outcome for individuals with first episode psychosis. Provide motivational enhancement techniques with patients and families to maximize the participation for patient recovery. Provide individual resiliency therapy as needed to relatives of patients to increase their understanding of psychosis and to recognize opportunities to support recovery. Provide backup for the Individual Resiliency Therapy Clinical Coordinator II when unavailable to ensure adherence to NAVIGATE program schedule for patients.Program Support – Work closely with the Directors of NAVIGATE Program and other team members to support the program. Duties include assist in scheduling and adding patients via program protocols with appropriate priority status. Ongoing family outreach, support and follow-up with appropriate documentation as required by the program funding agency. Meet weekly with team members advocating for patient resiliency therapy needs. Compile patient lists for weekly case conference and perform necessary follow-up. Attend program networking events, etc.Community Outreach- Provide support and assistance to individuals and their families diagnosed with first episode of non-affective psychosis (FEP). Provide collaborative consultation to schools and agencies serving individuals with FEP. Provide public education programs for community members to promote community awareness and acceptance of persons with FEP. Collaborate with community resources and agencies to connect families with services needed. Write consultation notes and report on activities in a timely manner and maintain all required records. Develop educational materials for community members, educators, and families. Collaborate with other agencies within the State of Florida offering the NAVIGATE Program to continue to be current on clinical therapy developments.Case Management – This position will also provide case management, which often includes assistance in accessing housing, transportation, and other community resources that align with the patient’s needs and goals.Expected Salary:$60,000-$65,000Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications:Master's or Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or related field with some post-degree supervised experience.

Experience with schizophrenia and first episode psychosis

Experience with behavioral assessments and providing interventional therapy

One year of clinical consulting experience in helping individuals in psychiatric care programs
