Butcher Shop Counter Service / Steward

McCall's Meat & Fish Co. is a hip gourmet butcher shop and market with 2 locations in LA.

This job posting is for our location in Santa Monica on Montana Ave.

Looking for a jack of all trades with a good attitude and a passion for food

Duties include:

- Restocking retail shelves + produce fridges throughout the day

- Customer facing counter service / cashiering to support FOH during busy hours

- Packing + storing produce on farmers market days

- Light prep work such as dressings, sauces, etc.

- Wrapping up meat + seafood properly at end of each shift

- Overall shop upkeep - keeping the store tidy, organized + clean

Requirements:

- Must have basic knowledge of meat, seafood + cooking procedures

- Must have an open schedule

- Must have a strong work ethic, self starter mentality + a positive attitude

- Must be fluent in English (bilingual in Spanish a plus!)

- Must have California Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate.

Pay/Benefits:

- $18-20/hr + tips.
