Assistant Office Manager (Private PPO Office)
Job description
We are looking for an Assistant Dental Office Manager who can provide crucial support to the Office Manager, helping ensure the smooth operation of the dental office. This role involves assisting with a variety of administrative, human resources, and patient care tasks, allowing the Office Manager to focus on higher-level responsibilities. The Assistant Dental Office Manager will collaborate with the Office Manager and dentist to maintain efficient office operations and ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provide support to the Office Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the dental office, including scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and answering phones
-Assist with processing payments, billing patients, and managing insurance claims under the Office Manager's guidance
-Help manage the ordering and inventory of dental supplies and equipment
-Assist the Office Manager in the hiring, training, and supervision of dental staff
-Collaborate on office finances, budgeting, and tracking expenses as directed by the Office Manager
-Aid in the development and implementation of office policies and procedures
-Support compliance with dental laws and regulations in coordination with the Office Manager
-Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, working closely with the Office Manager to ensure smooth operations
-Perform additional administrative duties as needed to assist the Office Manager
Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience working in a dental office, with familiarity in PPO insurance and billing
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Excellent customer service and communication abilities
-Ability to multitask and support both independently and as part of a team
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
