Project Accountant
Description I have partnered with a local Design and Architectual firm seeking a Project Accountant. The role will involve handling various accounting tasks, such as processing and tracking project payments, interacting with clients on billing issues, and assisting in cash management. This company is compensating $60 - 80K + bonus + shares. For immediate consideration please message me on linkedin or email me at john.holtman@roberthalfResponsibilities: Manage the billing process for a significant portion of the company's projects, including both fees and reimbursable expenses. Input, track, and schedule payments for consultants involved in projects. Collaborate with Project Managers to validate consultant invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies. Address client inquiries related to the invoices and facilitate the collection of payments. Collaborate with other accounting staff to research Accounts Payable questions as needed. Respond to inquiries from Project Managers or Principals about their projects. Assist in cash management in collaboration with other accounting colleagues. Initiate payments through bank software for approval by the CFO. Familiarize yourself with the company payroll software. File monthly use tax with the Commonwealth of Mass. Assist with the transfer of bi-weekly 401K employee deductions to our 401k provider. Help in the collection of bi-weekly timecards. Take on additional projects as needed.Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the accounting field Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations processes Demonstrable knowledge of General Ledger management Experience in processing Journal Entries Proven experience in Month End Close procedures Prior experience in Project Accounting is essential Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferredRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
