Description We are offering a long term part time contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be actively involved in various accounting tasks within our organization, with a focus on maintaining financial records and processing employee expenses. This role is vital to our financial operations, and as such, you will be expected to interact with employees, manage customer accounts, and ensure accurate processing of financial data.Must be able to work one day a week on site at their Boston, MA location. 20-25 hours a week commitment, majority able to be done in a remote capacity. Responsibilities: Accurately process and manage employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies Interact with employees regarding expenses, providing clarification and guidance when necessary Implement processes to accurately code financial transactions to the General Ledger (GL) Leverage your knowledge of NetSuite for purchasing and other financial tasks Oversee the process of month-end close cash coding, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records, taking appropriate action when necessary Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency Monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate actions based on account status Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction Utilize your skills in Microsoft Excel, Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close to perform your duties efficiently. Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Proven experience in a similar role, preferably at a senior level Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Familiarity with accounting software, preferably NetSuite Demonstrated skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Experience in managing general ledger activities Ability to prepare and post journal entries as required Experience in executing month-end close processes Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong ethical standards and integrity in all business dealings Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
