This role involves liaising with travel vendors, managing itineraries, and providing support throughout the travel process. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to fluidly shift focus are the keys to success in this role. This role may also include opportunities for cross-training in related areas, enhancing collaboration and professional development.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Daily / Weekly Core Tasks:
Travel Arrangements:Plan and coordinate domestic and international travel for employees, including flights, accommodations, transportation, creation and distribution of itineraries.
Travel Technology:Utilize travel management software and tools to streamline the booking process and maintain accurate records.
Customer Service:Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding travel inquiries and issues, providing timely support and solutions.
Training & Support:Provide guidance and training to employees on travel policies, procedures, and tools.
Problem Resolution:Handle travel disruptions and emergencies, assisting employees with rebooking and alternative arrangements as needed.
Policy Compliance:Ensure all travel arrangements comply with the company’s travel policies and procedures.
Budget Management:Monitor travel budgets and expenditures, providing reports and recommendations to management on cost-saving opportunities.
Cross Training:Participate in cross-training initiatives to gain insights into related departments, fostering a collaborative work environment and broadening skill sets.
RequirementsQualifications

Education
High school diploma or GED/HSED, required
2- or 4-year degree, preferred
Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
Experience & Skills
Minimum of 2-5 years travel management experience, required
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, required
Basic knowledge of SAP Concur, preferred
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of specifications and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
