Cashier Position at Vegos
Vegos is hiring a Cashier! We are seeking a positive individual who is strong at communication and strong at multi-tasking, works with a sense of urgency, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Position: Cashier/Dishwashing
Pay: $16+ per hour (includes hourly and tips)
3-5 days a week.
Flexible Schedule
Approx 20-30 hrs per week
Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Prior customer service in food industry experience of 6 month minimum
Knowledgable about food allergens
Must be comfortable using an iPad
Must be able to read orders/tickets
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Lifting 10-30lbs
Must be able to multi-task
Ability to work well under pressure
Work speedy and with a sense of urgency
Working with team to achieve a timely customer order
Reading tickets/orders and bagging items efficiently
Communicate with fellow team members on ticket progress/modifications
Able to work in extreme weather and temperatures (hot and cold conditions)
Must be a team player
Practice good personal hygiene
Food handlerscertificate is required if hired
Must have reliable transportation
Clean up at the end of shift, includes cleaning the dining room, bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, dishes etc

A little about us:
Vegos started as a tent and table operation serving at the Railyards farmers market in 2019. In 2020 we moved into a food trailer and started selling at various local breweries and coffee shops. In 2020 we placed 3rd for best foodtruck and 2nd for best chef by Albuquerque Magazine. In September 2021 we opened our doors as a restaurant and won 1st place as Best Food Truck in New Mexico by Edible magazine. In 2022 we made it in the top 10 list for best Restaurants in Albuquerque and in 2022 and 2023 we won best Vegan Restaurant by Albuquerque the Magazine.
