POWER Engineers Inc., a top-three engineering firm headquartered in Idaho, is currently seeking an experienced Proposal Specialist for our Government Services division, serving US government clients that include the Departments of Defense, Energy, and International Development. This is a professional position that requires the ability to lead large proposal efforts and produce high-quality written work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a fun and supportive project team located around the globe. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proposal writing, editing, and production skills, experience in business development and in SF330 preparation. We are looking for an individual highly skilled in office software and databases, who can demonstrate strong writing and organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Write, coordinate, and manage the development of proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations, and other related materials

Work with Project Managers and technical staff to gather appropriate material/information needed to meet the requirements of the RFP

Consolidate team member input into clear and meaningful responses

Assemble and package proposals/documents from inception through final product

Assure all information is high quality, accurate, and in compliance with all RFI/RFP response requirements per brand guidelines

Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in our client engagement database (Dynamics CE CRM)

Take on special project assignments as directed by Department Manager

Requirements: Education, Experience, Availability

Bachelor’s degree, with either a technical or English/writing background and demonstrated skills in proposals

5+ years of experience with proposal writing or 8+ years of grant writing or technical writing experience

High degree of self-motivation, initiative, organization, self-discipline, and accountability

Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams to a successful outcome

Effective time management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks based on shifting needs

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

Expertise with MS Word

Proficient in other standard MS Office and Adobe software

Experience using client relationship databases

Able to work 40-hour weeks. Regular business hour availability (8 am – 5 pm) is preferred, with occasional overtime

Must be a US Citizen

Desired Education/Experience

SF330 preparation experience

Experience with Department of Defense proposal requirements (DD1391s etc.) is strongly desired

Engineering consulting/technical or energy industry experience

Knowledge of SharePoint, PowerBI, and using Copilot or other AI Chatbots

APMP Foundation Level Certification

Advanced degree

Familiarity with or interest in AI content generation and strategy best practices and challenges

That might seem contradictory to some, but it works for us!Base Salary Range: $65K - $80KThe range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on several factors including an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike.
