Grand Pet Hotel is looking for one new team member to join our team of pet lovers. If you love caring for and being surrounded by dogs and cats and working together with great people - this might be the place for you.

The Front Desk position is responsible for answering phone calls and in-person customer questions about their pets & pricing, placing reservations on our computer system, coordinating pets checking in and out, and calculating and taking payments for services. As we are often busy, applicants must have experience and skills working in a high-volume customer contact environment with ease and confidence, the ability to multi-task, coordinate with team members, and assist customers and their pets with grace and courtesy.

Our front desk shifts are usually 10 hours from 7am until 5pm, including paid breaks and paid lunch period. At this time, we are looking for someone who can work weekdays 3 or 4 consecutive days each week - so, a minimum of 30 and up to 40 hours weekly. The nice thing about our long shifts model is that you get your hours in, and then have more days off.

Work responsibilities include:

- Helping keep front desk & lobby area clean, tidy, and organized

- Greeting & assisting pet parent customers in person with their needs, questions, and transactions

- Answering 30-50 phone calls daily

- Using the customer computer system to update records, make reservations, and calculate and take payments accurately

- Monitoring pets in play areas, especially our cat room

- Helping guide & lead pets from suites to play areas, and to check in and out

Job Requirements:

- A love of dogs & cats

- Ability to interact with customers and t heir pets in a genuine, caring way

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Ability to manage daily assignments independently with minimum oversight

- Ability to accurately update pet records, calculate, and take payments

- Physical ability to handle and restrain animals safely

- Willingness to work a flexible schedule for the first coupe of weeks as we train & integrate you
