The Progress hiring an Assistant General Manager with a wine focus

The Progress is seeking an Assistant General Manager with a wine focus. This position will support the General Manager to oversee nightly service, daily operations, and assist the Beverage Director with all aspects of the wine program.

Job requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Strong sense of warmth and hospitality

-Sincere desire to provide guests with best possible service and experience

-Interest and pride in learning about food, wine, and beer

-Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure

-Being a genuine team player - we are only successful if everyone works together

-Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and clear communication skills

-Physical stamina: ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk up to 5 miles per evening, including stairs

-Desire for longevity

-Efficient and safe work practices

-Previous management experience and passion for wine is preferred

-Work closely with the beverage director to maintain a dynamic wine list, educate our team, and provide our guests with the best possible wine service & experience.
