Staff Accountant
Description We are searching for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is based in San Antonio, Texas, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, including the management of accounts payable and general ledger, financial reporting, and cash management. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.Responsibilities: Audit and process bills, prioritizing invoices based on payment terms and available cash Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, and rectify discrepancies Track monthly bills and follow-up with vendors if a bill is not received Manage cash by determining availability, processing payments, and transferring funds between bank accounts Reconcile all bank accounts and notify the Accounting Manager if a funding request is needed from the owner Perform general ledger accounting tasks such as accruing for property taxes, insurance, and other property expenses Review the general ledger to verify accuracy and complete balance sheet reconciliations Handle month-end close accounting and review, as well as the preparation of the monthly financial statement package Ensure the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance with internal policies Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Display the highest level of customer service by being responsive to emails and requests – both internal and external. Requirements Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with General Ledger management Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries Knowledge in Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using RealPage software Experience in preparing and analyzing Balance Sheets Understanding of Escrow account management Ability to review Financial Statements and provide insights Proficiency in Cash Flow Analysis Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
