Night-shift Caregiver
Night-shift caregiver to help 75 yr old man with dementia to and from the bathroom at night. This is to make sure he does not use the restroom anywhere in between when he forgets there is a restroom or where it’s at. Additionally, in the morning you would be responsible for fixing him some breakfast and that can be a larger breakfast, or a bowl of cereal and fruit.
The shift would be from 9 pm to 9 am, 5-7 days a week, and it is my hope to have a couple of people do 3-4 days a week, so one person doesn’t have to work 6-7 days a week.
My brother (Dennis) is not confrontational or mean in any way or at any time. He is a very docile individual and so easy to get along with, he just isn’t always able to find the restroom when he needs it.
This only happens at night because he takes trazodone at night to sleep and it makes him groggy.
The position requires you are registered on the state website as a caregiver, and your registration number is listed and current, or can be within a couple of weeks. Individual needs to be knowledgeable and qualified in caring for individuals who struggle with dementia, is loving and kind, and .
It is a $20 an hour position.
