Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada, 89119, United States. This role involves handling accounts receivable and payable, managing general ledger activities, and ensuring accurate financial records within the real estate industry. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of annual budget and forecasts. Oversee timely payment of invoices. Maintain accurate records by posting journal entries, cash receipts, and billings to the general ledger. Conduct monthly reconciliation of key general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers. Update financial activity for each entity's work papers monthly. Reconcile bank and investment statements for assigned accounts. Generate and distribute monthly financial statements to department heads and CPA firm. Maintain real estate tax schedule and ensure timely payment of all tax bills. Prepare monthly reports to be submitted to public partners. Assist with special assignments as needed. Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures. Requirements Possession of a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Demonstrated knowledge of working with General Ledger Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in using accounting software such as Yardi Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus but not required.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
