Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the investment holding industry, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will be entrusted with the preparation of financial reports, maintenance of the general ledger, and assistance with audit preparations, among other accounting duties. Responsibilities: Accurately process monthly operating activities through preparation and booking of journal entries. Maintain general ledger and perform balance sheet reconciliations. Support audit preparations by providing necessary documentation for quarterly financial statement audits. Review and reconcile monthly cash activity and bank account balances. Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and prepaid schedules. Analyze and prepare quarterly roll-forwards for fixed assets, intangibles, prepaids and other assets, equity method investments, and other equity securities. Record valuation adjustments for publicly traded securities on a monthly basis. Assist in the preparation of financial summaries for the executive team on a quarterly basis. Write technical accounting memorandums. Handle booking of quarterly activity for equity method investments and maintain respective schedules. Prepare monthly journal entries for consolidation method investments and reconcile the same to corporate financials. Requirements The Senior Accountant should have 3 to 5 years of experience with GAAP accounting, along with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Accreditations such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA) also are preferred.
