Systems Engineer (all disciplines)
System One is seeking Systems Engineers (all disciplines) for long-term contract opportunities with our client supporting nuclear power plant evaluation, design, modification, and start-up projects in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Local candidates preferred. Per Diem available for non-local candidates. Nuclear industry experience is required. Responsibilities:
Completes engineering projects by analyzing problems, organizing and controlling project elements.
Evaluation of systems, testing, and definition of modification of existing power plant architecture, via walkdowns.
Provides expert advice on design processes or construction methods.
Formulates and directs investigations or prototype, model and system studies, analyzing and interpreting the data obtained and recommending practical application of results.
Demonstrates ability to perform review of complex calculations, design deliverables.
Analyzes problems, investigates and establishes general performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, processes., etc.
Collaborates with team members on projects to determine priorities and implications on work of others.
Provides effective solutions and defines appropriate deliverables that the client will need to solve the issue.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from ABET accredited school.
5+ years relevant work experience
Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to systems engineering of nuclear power plants.
Knowledge and implementation of client Engineering Change Control process of nuclear power generation utilities is considered an asset.
Working knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards.
This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
