Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Possesses specialty skills and performs advanced tasks independently with minimal supervisory review. Performs engineering tasks independently and actively impart expert knowledge to others. Higher level of accountability than an Engineer 3A. Must be able to manage and implement engineering analysis and technical programs. Has wide latitude to make technical decisions within accountabilities. Department Specific Roles/Responsibilities: Engineering Defend the plant design and licensing basis. Preparation and approval of design outputs and plant changes in accordance with approved processes and design requirements. Support installation and testing of plant systems and components and facility changes. Ensure the plant's physical and functional characteristics are accurately reflected in the plant documents.PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise in consultation through direct involvement and as a subject matter expert when consulted to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations.
Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles
Accountable for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, and procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications
Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analysis in support of technical projects and programs.
Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 1
Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, science or related field
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 2A'
Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with two (2) years experience
Minimum 1 year nuclear or related engineering experience
Completion of Engineering training program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 2B
Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with three (3) years experience
1+ year as Engineer 2A
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 3A
Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with five (5) years’ experience
Has demonstrated solid or better results for at least 2 years and works independently in assigned areas of knowledge and skills
Has completed assigned skills and knowledge development training to broaden and deepen knowledge in select areas
Demonstrated ability to assist/mentor junior engineers on technical issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 3B
Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with seven (7) years' experience and minimum 1 year as Engineer 3A.
Has completed assigned skills and knowledge development training (applicable Advanced Engineering, EPRI, and Constellation University training or industry provided training) to develop expert level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 1
BS Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
Engineer in Training Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 2A
BS Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
Good grasp of techniques and a good understanding of the fundamental functions performed by the group
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 2B
BS Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
Has demonstrated solid or better results for at least 2 years and demonstrates progress in developing at least half of the key knowledge and skills of a Senior Engineer
Demonstrated collaboration across engineering, site functions (Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, Safety).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 3A
BS degree in Engineering with 5+ years engineering experience
Demonstrated ability to assist/mentor junior engineers on technical issues
Higher level of accountability than an Engineer 2B
Demonstrated proficiency leading cross functional initiatives at an asset/plant.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Procurement Engineer 3B
