Sekoya Lounge + Kitchen, located in Palo Alto, is seeking an experienced Baker and Lead Line cook to join our team. We are looking for like-minded culinary Professionals to work alongside Michelin-trained CDC: work experience includes: Chez TJ, Quince, Wayfare Tavern, Adeles (Nashville).

Sekoya has now been open for 1 year and is one of the newest restaurant in Palo Alto. Our brand-new kitchen houses state-of-the-art equipment including a custom Hibachi Grill.

Qualifications for Lead Baker & Lead Line Cook:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Line Cook is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen. They are responsible for both short- and long-range planning including the development and execution of new menus and pricing along with the Owners and Chef de Cuisine. They are responsible for maintaining food safety, sanitary and safety standards in the workplace. They will work together with the Chef de Cuisine and General Manager to focus on the vision of the restaurant.

The Lead Baker is responsible for maintaining quality and consistency in bread and dessert production. Responsible for opening of restaurant and helping supervise morning prep. They will work together with the Chef de Cuisine and General Manager to focus on the vision of the restaurant. In this leadership role, the Baker serves as a role model and mentor to the kitchen staff and must always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
