DescriptionSAIC seeks a Senior Managing Consultant for the Mission Advisory (MA) practice based in Reston, Virginia. Our MA practice serves government civilian agency clients by providing strategic planning through practical implementation support to solve their most complex and challenging mission obstacles. These obstacles range from risk mitigation for their digital transformation journeys to supporting the implementation of innovative digital services. As Managing Consultant, you will work closely with the SAIC’s Civilian Business Group and lead a practice team with deep industry and mission expertise, analytical abilities and a pragmatic mindset, embracing the role of a big-picture thinker who connects the dots and anticipates what’s next. This role will involve unanticipated travel to SAIC office locations and client sites nationwide, as you help direct our clients through their most critical business and operational obstacles, while demonstrating professional and personal growth. Team Leadership: Managing and developing teams of consultants, senior consultants, and analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback.
Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding their business needs, and delivering exceptional client service.
Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, contributing to sales, and marketing efforts.
Client Needs Assessment: Analyze clients' business, technical, and process requirements and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to design strategies, roadmaps, and plans in direct alignment and support of business and technology objectives for clients within Civ-BG.
Develop strategies, methodologies, and different artifacts that support our client’s missions and objectives.
Project Management: Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
People Development: Investing in the professional growth of team members, providing opportunities for learning and development.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline and 17 years of related experience
Must have 5-7 years of advisory/consulting experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen
Proven experience as an IT Consultant or in a similar role is must.
Technical expertise in various IT areas preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and technical teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
Ability to travel up to 15-25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients you serve.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP, CompTIA, PMP, Cloud, CSM) preferred.
