Position Summary
EBI is seeking a full-time Radio Frequency- Electromagnetic Emissions (RF-EME) Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site reconnaissance at Telecom installation sites, and developing associated reports to determine compliance with the FCC rules and regulations. The successful candidate will have technical report writing skills and ability to conduct research to perform a thorough field survey in order to support in the production of FCC Compliance Reports. Prior working experience in RF-EME is preferred, but not required.
This position reports directly to the Technical Director and will be a fully remote, work from home position. The majority of clients this position will support will be located in or around Western Pennsylvania or general Tri State (Connecticut, New York, New Jersey) so candidates will need to already be established in one of these markets. This is a field-based position, with upwards of 50% local and regional travel expected. Candidates must be comfortable with this model to be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collect on-site measurements with RF Meter, catalog telecom equipment on rooftops and towers, create site plans based on observations
Install mitigation on-site including physical barriers and information signage
Use software to perform theoretical emission calculations against Federal Standards
Prepare compliance reports as directed in strict adherence to quality control deadlines
Simultaneously manage electronic deliverables on many ongoing projects, as well as complete assignments on-time and within budget
Travel on short notice (one week or less) will be required at times
Qualifications and Capabilities
Bachelor's degree from accredited university in environmental science or equivalent field
Less than two years of related non-academic work experience
