Electronics Production Supervisor

This position oversees Kitting and Production to ensure a smooth flow of components to Production and timely movement of product through the production process. Experience with scheduling and MRP/ERP systems is preferred but if you have the attitude and aptitude needed for this position, we can train you. Job Title: Production Supervisor
Department: Production
Reports to: Operations Manager
SUMMARY:
Supervises daily functions of the production line by planning, setting team goals, quality, schedules, and controlling costs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Coordinates flow of work and materials based on scheduled customer orders, established priorities of availability/capability of workers, parts, materials and equipment.
Provides the necessary tools and documentation for individuals to perform their jobs.
Develops an atmosphere that encourages employee participation.
Motivate and directs employees in preserving an efficient and productive workplace.
Introduce new methods/techniques to improve quality and/efficiency.
Interfaces with all levels of Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance staff.
Maintains a safe work environment.
Implements continuous improvement ideas and suggestions.
Communicates directly with Management on any conflicts with capacity availability, scheduled workload or part/material issues.
Determines (pre-production) capacity requirements. Plans sequence of operations to provide guidance for assembly operators.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the direction, coordination and evaluation of production personnel. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance to company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Provides ongoing training to applicable staff to develop and encourage their technical and operational performance. Meets with appropriate staff on timely basis for performance evaluations and goal setting.
Ensures company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all Production department functions.
Displays effective leadership.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent and/or college related courses.
Three to five years directly related supervisory experience.
Ability to manage company personnel policies and procedures consistently.
Ability to communicate effectively showing excellent written and verbal communication skills with a diverse group of people.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
