Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Fuel Accountant in Dallas, Texas. This role will be part of our team, focusing on managing the daily processes of supplier and customer account management, overseeing high volume accounting information flow, and developing relationships with internal and external parties. Responsibilities: Handle daily operations related to supplier and customer account management, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively Manage the flow of high volume accounting information across multiple systems Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal counterparts, external vendors, and customers Ensure consistent on-time payment to external vendors and on-time collection from external customers Identify and resolve potential root causes for aged payables and receivables in the system Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and proactive orientation towards resolving identified issues Use relationships with internal channels to collaborate and improve processes and procedures Analyze financial results effectively, providing supporting details and insights that contribute to the company's success Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, responding to change with professionalism and a solution-oriented attitude Maintain productive relationships with counterparties through proactive, effective communication Requirements Proven experience as a Fuel Accountant or similar role within the industry Proficiency in using SAP for financial management and operations Extensive knowledge in General Ledger management and maintenance Demonstrable experience in account reconciliation, including bank and cash reconciliations Ability to prepare and adjust journal entries as well as month-end journal entries Familiarity with journal entry preparation and execution Proficiency in month-end close procedures and operations High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
