Weekly private chef needed for family of three
We’re a family of three (mom, dad, 6yr old) who live in Edgewood and want to invest in a more healthy diet and lifestyle.
We are looking for a skilled, creative, and collaborative chef to come to our house once a week to cook enough food for the family to eat for a week. Specifically, we want healthy, clean, well-balanced meals that are flavorful, filling, but light. We love mediterranean, seafood (no shellfish), and dense-bean salads.
Weekly meal needs:
- 2 protein dinner dishes (1 fish, 1 other meat) - 2 servings each
- 1 carb-based side (rice, pasta, potatoes, etc.) - 4 servings
- 2 veggie sides - 2 servings each
- 1 dense-protein (bean or meat-based) cold salad for lunch that store well over a few days - 4-5 servings
- 1 breakfast dish (frittata, chia seed pudding, etc.) - 4-5 servings
Budget and rate:
- Total budget should stay around or under $400, including groceries and labor
- Hourly rate: $25
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Create menu for the week
- Shop for ingredients
- Prepare and package meals for the week in reusable containers we provide
Ideally, you would shop and cook/prep on Saturday or Sunday, but we are flexible about day of week, it just needs to be consistent.
