About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a results-oriented Communications Senior Manager to lead customer and employee communications for Wells Fargo’s Merchant Services business. This is an opportunity to drive transformation through communications at a time when the organization is undergoing many changes.The manager will be part of the Merchant Services Business Enablement & Marketing organization and report to its Communications & Product Marketing leader. They will partner across the business to understand communication goals and meet communication needs while complying with various policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have proven success in developing and continually refining messaging in the financial services or payments industry (preferably B2B), as well as experience in executing ad hoc and trigger-based mass email and direct mail communications to customers. Build and execute upon external (customer) and internal (employee) communications strategy for Merchant Services

Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor as you manage multiple and diverse communications projects simultaneously, including confidential and high-profile initiatives

Manage multiple, widely varying communications projects simultaneously, including high-profile customer initiatives driven by contractual agreements or regulations, as well as internal communications that inform and engage employees

Ensure all communications align with the overall Wells Fargo brand standards, including being written in a customer-friendly, plain language lens

Identify external and internal storytelling opportunities that highlight successes on key priorities

Manage a team of individual contributors responsible for developing and implementing communications that advance Wells Fargo’s reputation as an industry leader

Collaborate on business strategy to enhance organizational reputation, both within and outside of the company

Partner with other Communications teams to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging

Required Qualifications:

6+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

3+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in business-to-business (B2B) communications, preferably within the financial services industry

Familiarity with the payments industry

Proven expertise in leading change management communications, including setting communication strategy and writing talking points

Experience developing and editing compelling content, with ability to simplify the complex

Ability to oversee end-to-end email and direct mail production, including list/data and mail file management, proofing and quality assurance, and backend reporting

Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic environment

Experience developing integrated communications strategies and plans that align with business objectives

Demonstrated track record of working effectively in a team environment, across all organizational levels, and building superior partnerships with a broad set of partners

Highly refined and professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with outstanding attention to detail and accuracy

Experience applying Style Guide and brand standards

Experience writing and editing internal communications in a corporate environment or financial institution

Experience reviewing customer communications for compliance with applicable laws/regulations

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

This position offers a hybrid work schedule
