Delicate Lighting Feature Repair
We are the creators of an elaborate Lobby Feature in the Wind Creek Casino. It features hundreds of hanging strands of LED pixels. We are seeking assistance on-site to replace a faulty element that connects these strands together.
The ideal candidate will
- have experience operating an electric scissor lift in tight quarters
- be able to carry out detailed work on small elements (LED strands) in a standing position for at least 4 hours.
- be vary attentive to small details (900 things need to be touched up and they ALL must be done)
- be able to work nights (work can only happen between 4am and 9am)
- be self-directed and able to carry out tasks without supervision.
- be fairly tall with long arms (you will need to reach strands that are 3.5 ft away from the edge of the lift
- Previous stage or production experience would be a plus.
The work will involve the following. For each of the 900 strands that make up the main floor-to-ceiling element of the installation, faulty rubber bands were used to join the top of the strands with the bottom. We must add an additional rubber band to each of these 900 junctions and ensure that you don't miss any. The person carrying out the work will need to add these new bands systematically (going one by one in rows to avoid missing any) and work on a lift raised up to about 10ft.
The job will likely take at least 2 nights. You will need to interview with us over video call first and then connect with the Casino facilities manager to access the lift and the replacement bands at the start of each night of work.
Work will begin as soon as this Friday. Working over the weekend is fine if that better fits your schedule. This is a time-critical repair. It must be carried out ASAP so I'll be looking to fill this position in the coming days.
