Description Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, located just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner to join the Hospitalist team. This is an excellent employed opportunity at a large community hospital in a beautiful suburban NY location.JOB HIGHLIGHTS:
12 hour shifts
Nights: 7pm – 7am
Responds to RRT and other in house emergencies such as Code Stroke, Code Sepsis, etc. (no Code Blue)
Discharge follow up calls including lab/test results and pharmacy calls
The APP is an integral part of the team who enjoys a balance of clinical autonomy with physician back up and support at all times
Vassar is building a new 696,000-square-foot, seven-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms

QUALIFICATIONS:For newly graduated candidates, a strong inpatient nursing med-surg or critical care background is desired.
