Strategic Sourcing Intern

Our interns receive hands-on experience, training and the opportunity to work on a project in their specific area of study.The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering. Posted position does not provide visa sponsorship, housing assistance, relocation or remote/hybrid opportunities.Project Details:
Identify Supplier Contract Risk Assessment by gathering data and documentation information.
Conduct an Analysis and Risk Assessment and formulate a completed evaluation.
Gather data around current Fastenal Delivery and VMO Analysis
Analyze and evaluate current processes
Initiate communication with Purchasing Manager and Category Manager possible solutions
Support findings of project outcomes
Job Requirements:A successful intern at Powell will have the following characteristics:
Currently pursuing a 4-year degree from an accredited institution
Rising Junior or Senior level students continuing their studies in the fall semester
Good academic standing; minimum 3.0 GPA
Team-player, self-starter, effective communicator, & dependable
Possess multi-tasking abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
