Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY: Responsible for the maintenance of all the equipment at facility to include production, warehouse, the office area and the building. Maintenance to be performed will cover mechanical, electrical (up to and including three phase), plumbing, painting, welding and some carpentry. Must be able to work alone or as a member of a team with little or no supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates maintenance activities with Equipment Operators and Supervisors in the department where the maintenance is to be performed.
Apply maintenance troubleshooting skills in a wide variety of machine applications in response to production requirements.
Troubleshoot control wiring, relay logic, motor drive circuits, control system devices, photo eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, and transducers.
Utilize Digital Voltmeter, Mega OHM Meter and AMP probes to diagnose electrical problems.
Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installation, repair and service of machinery and support systems as required.
Perform systematic preventive maintenance, including electrical and mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs on plant equipment as necessary.
Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment on a regular scheduled basis.
Prioritizes repairs due to machine breakdowns over projects and other tasks.
Perform welding and machine shop tasks related to repair of equipment and machinery.
Complete all designated maintenance projects in a timely, efficient and safe manner.
Maintains and organizes the maintenance area as for storage of parts and equipment as well as maintaining all shop equipment and maintaining the areas housekeeping.
Maintain an organized clean and safe work area.
Works closely with shift supervisors and machine operators to learn what is happening to each machine on a daily basis.
Comply with area Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and OSHA regulations.
Design and fabricate parts to improve machine / equipment operation and safety.
Provide assistance and support as needed to all machine operators and supervisors.
Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and of Company assets.
Perform all maintenance tasks and daily activities in accordance with company'ssafety procedures.
Ensure a professional image for company with internal as well as external customers and vendors.
Any/all other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Above average mechanical knowledge of gears and gear ratios
Ability to weld and fabricate
Able to read blueprints and schematics
Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuits including three phase
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics
Ability to plumb and install air and water lines
Some carpentry knowledge
If the candidate is neither certified, degreed or licensed, they might be required to successfully complete proficiency testing in some or all of the above categories.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in small, confined spaces with poor lighting and poor ventilation.
The individual must be able to wear the appropriate protective equipment to accommodate the protection needs of the present hazard.
The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
The operator will be exposed to wet and humid conditions and have to work with some dust in the atmosphere.
Working in close proximity with moving forklift trucks is required.
Safety Glasses and closed toe/closed heel shoes in the production and warehouse areas are required.
Due to the nature of this position, on-site attendance is mandatory. Noresponsibilities of this position may be completed remotely.
Anticipated Salary: $65K - $85K DOE. Full benefits, Medical, dental, vision and 401K.
