ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES The following job functions are not all inclusive. The employee may be required to perform other job related tasks and responsibilities as requested by the client or in partnership with a private care management service. The designated employee will support the client and provide and family homes. Prepare and cook meals and snacks as needed. Assist with therapies including physical exercises and other home programs. Transport, with the client, the children to and from school, activities and events. Assist the client in preparing all needed items for activities to include equipment and or snacks as needed. At the direction of the client, make any necessary purchases and, at her direction, donate any items no longer needed. Assist the client, in her coordination of birthday, holiday, cultural and other special events. Manage the shared assistant calendar and email and coordinate appointment schedules and communication with providers to include but not limited to medical and dental appointments, therapy appointments, and hair cut appointments. Support in managing activities and household calendar and ensure they are transferred to the shared assistant calendar Ensure household organization and management. Shop for groceries and household items. Shop for items for home as needed. Maintain a safe, secure, clean and orderly environment. At the client’s direction, coordinate all household maintenance tasks to include setting up bids, appointments and follow up scheduling if necessary. Perform light housekeeping to include dishwashing, cleaning counters and floors in the kitchens, taking out garbage and recycling, pick up and tidy living spaces and common areas, clean floors as needed, complete daily laundry tasks and any other tasks needed to maintain a clean and orderly environment. Be willing to travel with the client and or family as needed. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the client and her children, as she requests. EXPECTATIONS Maintain regular and consistent attendance. In the event that you are unable to work for your scheduled shift or need to make changes to your schedule, this must be communicated directly to and by care manager Strong communication skills with adults and children. Maintain a mature and professional presence. Limit use of personal calls, text messages, use of social media, etc. to breaks except in the case of a family emergency or if it relates to the client. Must exhibit professional verbal, written and interpersonal skills in all interactions. Must demonstrate a high level of autonomy which may include: Completing and communicating the completion of tasks without reminding. Offering proactive support to the children as directed by the client,. Willing to acknowledge and accept changes with or without notice. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work with the children in a patient and supportive manner. Ability to travel overnight with the family as needed. Possess a valid driver’s license. and have clean driving record. Employee must notify care manager mediately if employee’s driver’s license is suspended or revoked for any reason, or if employee is convicted of any crimes. All hours worked must be recorded on the time sheet during each shift. Working off the clock or working hours outside of the schedule without advanced approval, is prohibited. Physical ability to perform the job. o Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, and walk 50-70% of time. Work while standing 50-70% of the time. o Physically respond quickly to sounds and emergency situations. Ability to perform the essential job duties and expectations of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Adhere to all policies provided in the Employee Handbook and directions from care manager. WORK SITE POLICIES Drinking alcohol or smoking is not permitted while on shift or around client or her children while working. This extends to any off-site activities. Sleeping while on day shift is strictly prohibited. During your scheduled shift, employees must be alert, attentive and engaged. Background check will be performed. Valid passport preferred. Must work well with other staff.

Hours: Monday and Friday each from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. Pay $35 an hour for qualified candidates, with potential raises after tenure.
