The right person for this job will have a knack for explaining complicated Health Care Insurance and 401(k) plans to an accountant, but also to "the talent", with equal amounts of ease. If you are FRIENDLY and willing to learn, while building relationships with new and existing teammates, you'll be a great addition to our team!We are a fairly young company that is growing at break-neck speeds, so things will change quickly, and we promise you will NEVER be bored! Then check out some of the technical requirements of the job :RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESDeliver EXCELLENT customer service to our employees with patience, kindness and compassion at all timesRespond to HR questions from employees and the leadership team in a timely mannerEnsure confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee recordsManage and conduct the employee onboarding process.Oversee our annual performance reviews, quarterly conversations, and employee performance improvement plans.Maintain Employee Handbook.Manage and administer group health insurance and 401(k).Manage Employee Workers’ Compensation Plan, Claims, and AuditsManage Employee Personnel Files.Ensure legal compliance throughout Human Resource Management.Manage the Employee Ethics Hotline.Prepare and complete unemployment inquiries.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSExperience as HR Specialist - preferred 2+ years experienceExperience with UI claims, 401(k) administration, Health Insurance Administration and other HR related issuesKnowledge of employment lawsExperience in data collection, entry, and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentialityComputer savvy with proficiency in Google Docs and Google SheetsExquisite math and numerical skills and phenomenal interpersonal skillsOutstanding organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concernsSound decision making skills with the ability to work independently in a time sensitive environmentAbility to multitask in a fast paced environment with specific deadlinesHigh school diploma or equivalentBENEFITS & PERKS55k - 65k Salary based on experience10 days PTO7 floating holidaysCOMPANY CULTURE & CORE VALUESPeople-oriented : We provide a positive, encouraging, and energetic environment that focuses on highlighting and growing the unique abilities of our team.Team-oriented : Our team is cooperative and collaborative; we support our team and our community.
