As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and executing cutting-edge engineering processes that elevate our operations. Collaborating with engineering and operations teams, you’ll bring your expertise in electronic assembly processes to plan, organize, and execute key initiatives. If you’re ready to take ownership of transformative projects and make a tangible difference, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of manufacturing.How you will make an impactProcess Innovation and Efficiency: Process Development & Optimization: Develop and optimize the electronic assembly process by innovatively using new tools, processes, and efficiency improvements.Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new technologies, materials, and components that enhance the assembly process or product quality.Design for Manufacturability: Provide input during the design phase to ensure products are designed for ease of assembly and cost-effective production.Continuous Improvement Drive improvement to existing processes that reduce cost, risk, and wasteTechnical Support and Equipment Management:Equipment Maintenance: Manage the installation, calibration, process control, and preventive maintenance of assembly equipment, including SMT machines, wave soldering machines, spray coating machines, reflow ovens, and inspectionProblem Solving & Support: Provide technical support to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to safety, quality, assembly, and process defects.Prototyping & Design Validation: Define and oversee prototypes of new electronic products or systems to validate design concepts and functionality.Collaboration and Project Leadership:Project Management: Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility and timely completion.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and supply chain, to bring innovative products from concept to production.Project Leadership: Lead initiatives aimed at improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost savings, using ITW Toolbox principles to achieve business objectives.Communication: Demonstrate effective communication at all organizational levels, providing progress updates on projects, identifying barriers, and recommending solutions.What you need to do to be successful in this role: Self-Accountability: Demonstrate a positive attitude, high motivation, and a keen sense of personal accountability.Proven project management skills: a drive to learn and continuously improve.
