Our work depends on a SQL Database Administrator joining our CNIC Applications Support team which provides system administration and development/maintenance support of Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC) applications. (G2 Ops).HOW OUR SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

SQL DBA for G2 OPS.

Responsible for the configuration, installation, upgrade, migration, and maintenance of G2 SQL Server and Oracle databases.Monitors database systems and resources to ensure that the database is available and performing at the optimum level.

Performs backups, maintains logs; installs database software upgrades; restores and/or recovers data as needed.

Consults on a variety of database integration issues including migration between disparate databases, maintenance/conversion and capacity planning.

Works with management to develop database strategies based on customers’ requirements.

Recommends testing and tuning of databases to increase functionality and efficiency.

Disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.

Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database.

Evaluates and recommends available database management system (DBMS) products. Performs database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.

Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage processes.

Support administration, design and development activities for database applications including both Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle RDBMS

STIG Remediation / Patching

Distributing limited deployments list to N62

ONV Password Resets

QA/PROD Deployments

Troubleshoot Tier II/III tickets impacting platform availability

Support for Ad-hoc requests from EIM teams

Coordinate with SDP via IssueTrak tickets

Support for G2 Platform Projects (Server Upgrades, Rollover Projects, SPO Migration, JBAB and Saratoga Re-Alignment)

Develop, deploy, operate, and administer standard procedures to manage performance and measurements in order to proactively ensure availability, reliability, and responsiveness

May also support other CNIC applications on this contract.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Security Clearance Level: Active Secret clearance with completed T5 Investigation

Required Experience:

6 years of relevant IT experience

Experience managing databases in a datacenter.

Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE

Education: BS Degree or equivalent Computer Science or IT related degree

Location: Remote

US Citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $152,490. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match.
