Database Administrator
Description Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Database Admin with expertise in designing, building, and optimizing databases in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating scalable database solutions, developing efficient data models, and ensuring seamless integration with cloud-based applications. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud-native database technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Database Development & Optimization:
Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Develop efficient and optimized database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
Perform performance tuning and optimization for databases to enhance application performance.
Cloud Integration & Management:
Implement and manage cloud-native database services such as Azure SQL, AWS RDS, DynamoDB, or Google Cloud Spanner.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for database changes in cloud environments.
Ensure data storage and processing comply with security and regulatory requirements.
Data Modeling & ETL Processes:
Design and implement data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
Build and manage ETL pipelines to integrate data from various sources into the cloud environment.
Ensure data quality and consistency across systems.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with application developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver database solutions.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for database structures, processes, and configurations.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot database-related issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in cloud database development.
Proactively recommend and implement best practices for database design and management.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in database administration experience
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their database services.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases.
Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Experience with ETL tools and processes.
Familiarity with cloud security and data governance practices.
