Requirements:
Experience: At least 2 years in a full-service restaurant as a prep or line cook.
Schedule Flexibility: Available for early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Cuisine Knowledge: Familiarity with vegetarian, plant-based, and Latin American cuisine.
Skills: Basic English reading and speaking, knife handling, and cooking techniques.
Attributes: Punctual, detail-oriented, with a positive attitude and a passion for learning.
Certification: Food handling training as per local regulations.
Physical Ability: Lift up to 50 pounds; good manual dexterity.
Compliance: Adhere to local laws and health ordinances.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize ingredients based on daily prep lists.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring all sanitation standards are met.
Rotate and store products properly using the FIFO method.
Assist in kitchen organization, equipment maintenance, and food storage.
Operate dishwashing equipment and assist with other kitchen tasks as needed.
Communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Occasionally check, inspect, and receive food deliveries.
Appearance:
Prep Cooks must follow company dress and grooming standards.
